A Happy Surprise

Most often you see beach houses and cottages decorated with tones of the ocean.  Aqua, seafoam, cerulean.  This beach home below likes to think outside the box.  I love the jewel tones of ruby and raspberry mixed with cottage white and sand.  Its unexpected and speaking of....the addition of leather in a beach house is clever.  The natural elements make it cozy and casual and the pops of color make it fun.
A happy little surprise!

Bixby Clutch

Is there anything Kate Spade doesn't get right?......No!  I am such a nut for handbags, new and vintage.  Its more of a collection for me, which I will blog about more later.  I love it when a bag comes out and it is exactly what you have needed in a bag.  The first designer handbag I ever bought was a Kate Spade striped tote and that was when I was about 19 and I have had it ever since, kept neatly when not in use and stuffed with tissue of course.  KS never disappoints!

This is the Bixby Clutch.  She is the perfect size clutch for everyday use and pretty reasonably priced!  The details are simple and perfect.  Soft leather, wood and resin trim, modern geometric lining and such classic colors.  Love the pop of the Aqua.  Fashion is fun with this bag!

Hello...Happy to be Back!

Hello All!  Wow, it has been quite a while.  A bit over a month to be exact.  I appreciate how real and honest many of the bloggers are that I follow regularly, and while it saddens me share this, I also want to be as real in this blog as my favorite writers.  Unfortunately, we experienced a death in our family at the end of last month.  A very close first cousin of mine passed at the tender age of 22.  Needless to say it has been quite a difficult time for me and the rest of our family.  I have taken the last month to spend quality time with them and disconnect for a bit.  I have gained perspective during these weeks and appreciate my relationships more than ever before.  I have made the choice to better cultivate my relationships and friendships.  I am more at peace now and I am now getting back into the swing of things.

I will leave you with a photo that inspires me to stop and appreciate life and my surroundings, enjoy the sun and take time to relax.

Enjoy your weekend!!
