Its a Givaway!!

Yep, that's right!  Its a giveaway!  My last post featured some of the new product photos from Stella & Dot, a fabulous jewelry brand that I represent.  Being a Stylist has a lot of great perks, one being that I wear my favorite jewels everyday.  My favorite looks from the Fall Collection are in Hematite, a really cool and edgy metal that reads very luxe and modern.

I'm giving one very lucky girl my personal favorite, the Panther Pendant Necklace.

It is so great on its own and even better when you pile on the layers!

To enter the Giveaway, follow some easy instructions:

1. Become a follower of Kristen Ellis Design, the Blog
2. Go to my Stella & Dot Facebook page and "LIKE" -

For an extra entry:
3. Leave a comment telling me what you love about Stella & Dot

The Winner will be announced on Friday.
Thanks and Good Luck to all!!

Stella & Dot Fall Collection

As most of you know, aside from my Design co., I am also a Stylist for Stella & Dot.  Earlier this month, the Fall 2011 Collection was launched and I have to say, I've never been prouder to represent such an incredible brand.  I started as a Stylist just to have some great jewelry but I have quickly made this business so much more.  I attended the launch and conference (it was not the boring kind you think of but a series of great parties and talks with our amazing leadership) in San Fran and was so inspired by how much this brand is growing.  I am in love with the Fall line and I just have to share my excitement.

I've attached some of my favorite high fashion and the jewelry is to die!  Stay tuned for a Giveaway!!

Make it a double!

The kitchen below belongs to the amazing fashion duo of Mark Badgely and James Mischka of Badgely and Mischka.  I came across this photo a while ago and fell in love with it for so many reasons.  The most obvious is the double farmhouse sinks.  I mean, is that not genious?!  I'm sure it has a more practical reason like two cooks in the kitchen, his and hers (or his too), one for veggies one for fruit and this list goes on.  I just love it for the pretty factor.  I'll take it....and make it a double!

Other reasons I love this kitchen:  gold hardware, double pendant fixtures, black grout and black island

What a perfect and beautiful kitchen!

Bottom Brights

One of my favorite trends of the season is bright colored pants.  I'm pretty positive that this trend is surely staying around for the long haul.  It is so classy when you add a denim shirt or even a crisp white one.  DSquared has taken this look to such brilliant lengths.  The looks below are from their Resort 2012 Collection.  Classy and chic...I'm inspired!

Its the big 3 0!

Yep, that's right people!!  I. am. thirty. today!  I have to be honest, I have mixed feelings about it.  Maybe its the fact that I found about 25 new gray hairs this morning and maybe a few more lines.  ;)

No, really.  I am excited about this new chapter in my life.  I am so thankful for thirty years of greatness. I'm grateful that the ups outweighed the downs.  I'm grateful for my wonderful husband, family and friends.  If I get another 30, I will be happy!

We have been celebrating all weekend and will close the day at my favorite little Mexican Restaurant for dinner...just me and the hubs!

Good Day!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend celebrating the 4th of July!  It was H.O.T. Hot in the ATX and I am starting to believe having a pool is a necessity and not a luxury in these parts.  We spent some good quality time with our family and friends and today I am beat.  My plan: work in my pj's and relax a bit.....It won't be as fabulous as the photo below but just as effective!

Have a great day!

Hello Sunshine!

I've always been a fan of the color yellow and I love this Sunshine color paired with a neutral linen.  It is so fresh and summery.  What a classic combination not only in fashion but also in interiors.  I can see it in a chic beach house or a swanky loft, either way it is effortlessly cool.  The last photo pairs this combo with shades of blue and navy....Genius!
