Hello, Vanity!

As I scour the folders of inspiration photos I collect, I've noticed that I rarely save photos of vanities.  Why? I'm not quite sure.  I know that I do love a good vanity, single or double.  It should not be overlooked, this is one place in your home where beauty and function are meant to be.  Below are some of my new favorite vanity photos.

Fashion Meets Home

Fashion is one of my biggest design inspirations.  So when I came across these two photos, I couldn't help noticing how similar they were.  The colors, textures and fabric translated so easily into the kitchen photo like it was planned.  The romantic feel of the photo below is definitely captured in the kitchen as well.  I wouldn't mind having both!

Stella & Dot

Hello all!  I hope the week has been good to you.  My week has been super busy but the weather has been amazing and I have enjoyed being out running around.

Well, its no secret how much I love jewelry, buying it and making it.  So I guess it is fitting that my latest venture/hobby would have everything to do with jewels and parties.  A few short weeks ago, I decided to become a Stylist for Stella & Dot and I love it so much.  I can't tell you what a great response I have gotten toward the jewelry.

Stella & Dot is a direct sales company that hires Stylists to represent the line by hosting trunk shows.  It is the perfect way to get together with your best friends and have some girl time.

I'm sharing a sampling of my favorite pieces.  If there is anything that catches your eye let me know!

Happy Shopping!

Moroccan Pouf = Love

What is it about a little pouf that makes a room feel so cozy?  Is it the fact that you can use it as a seat, an ottoman or just stare at it blissfully?  The color and fabric possibilities seem to be endless and come in some really beautiful patterns.  This sweet token can instantly add a bit of fun to any space.

Here a few of my favorite photos...

Lilly Pulitzer

Well, I finally had a chance to catch up on the latest issue of Lonny.  As you all know, every page is just as amazing as the one before it but I was particularly captivated by the story on Lilly Pulitzer.  I didn't know her backstory until now and I just thought it was incredibly charming.  She seemed like such a chic and cool lady to know and I love her juice stand story.  Her style was so fabulous and I love that the Lilly team is still designing with that fun and spunk!

A visit to the King of Prussia store is definitely on the to do list next time we make to that neck of the woods!

Makes me long for a beach vacation!

I love their inspiration boards.

Berkley Illustration

Hello strangers!  Its been a little while.  I have been a busy bee trying to keep up with work and weekend visits with family and friends.  I am getting into a groove though and loving the 65 degree weather we've been having.  I could get used to this.  Although, I believe we are expecting a cold front so the pep in my step may be short lived.  I'll enjoy it while it lasts!!

I am working on an existing project and tackling a few kids rooms.  This is always fun.  Right now I am in search of some interesting and original art for younger ages.  I found an incredible Artist on Etsy, well, its actually a very talented duo, Ryan and Lucy.  Together they create Berkley Illustration.

Their animal portrait series is absolutely fabulous.  They are so whimsical and vintage-inspired like they were torn out of an old book of fables.  Traditional in a sense with modern wit.  I can't say enough and I will use them as much as I can.

Here are a few of my favorites....and check out more here.

On The Road

I am loving Anthropologie's new outfits series On the Road.  It is so fresh and fun and gets me excited for spring.  The patterns and colors are inviting and familiar.  The style is casual like your favorite jeans but with a bit more personality and romance. The photos have such a cool vintage vibe too. It makes me want to just get in the car and drive......to Anthro of course to buy it all up!!

Animal Instinct

Is it just me or does the idea of animal prints in every room make your temperature rise?  I really believe that a great looking animal print can really make a room that much more vibrant and interesting.  For me, animal print is a neutral and can fit into any scheme if done right.  I think the trick to getting it right comes in two parts.

1. Make sure the print and texture is more sophisticated, like a giraffe print on linen or a zebra velvet.

2. Do it in appropriate doses.  A little goes a long way.  For example, a bench at the end of a bed, accent pillows or even a wing chair.

Bottom line, have a little fun in your room.  An animal print can take you up a notch adding whimsey and edge!

Here are a few of my favorite uses...
